FAQ

Straight answers, no sales pitch.

What is a mortgage trigger lead?

A trigger lead is a marketing lead sold by the credit bureaus the moment a lender pulls your credit for a mortgage or refinance. Competing lenders buy that lead and start calling within hours. CasaMint never triggers this because we do not pull your credit.

Does CasaMint sell my information?

No. We do not sell your contact information and we do not share your address with lenders without your explicit consent.

Where do your rates come from?

We pull the Freddie Mac Primary Mortgage Market Survey (30-yr and 15-yr) and the 10-yr Treasury yield directly from FRED, the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, every business day.

Are these estimates a real appraisal or loan offer?

No. Everything on CasaMint is an estimate for education. It is not an appraisal, a lending decision, or an offer of credit. When you are ready to act, work with a licensed mortgage professional.

How do refinance alerts work?

You tell us your current balance, rate, and term. We check the market each morning. If refinancing would save you more than the floor you set and pay for its closing costs quickly enough, we email you. Otherwise we stay quiet.

How do I unsubscribe?

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. It works immediately, no login required.
